Modern Railroad Graffiti: The Art of PUCK in Lacrosse, Wisconsin

I haven’t until recently really started paying attention to the railroad graffiti. In many ways a modern art form.

Some better than others for sure. But there seems to have been a trend over the past few years in terms of volume of this type of graffiti.

This one particularly struck me when I saw it. It is not a certain four letter word, it is “PUCK.” Spotted in Lacrosse, Wisconsin as the Amtrak 1333 rolled through town.

I haven’t really touched HO models since childhood but I may be inspired to try to model some of this fascinating graffiti. Hoppers seem to be ideal, followed by boxcars, of course.
